Trees 7: frozen

Loch Leven, frozen 31Our first winter in Scotland was long and cold;   this photo of a Scots pine was taken in January 2010, on the shore of Loch Leven.   The whole loch had frozen and a breath of white mist clung to the surface, blurring the edges and giving it an other-worldly appearance.

  1. Beautiful, but chilly!

  2. Wow that must have been cold back in 2010 for the whole of the loch to be frozen over, we also had a lot then. No snow for us this year, we were in Yorkshire yesterday, but there was no snow there, although last week when we were in York they had some in Harrogate, which is where we were yesterday. Just keep missing it, I will just have to post some older snow photos🙂
