Scottish islands: Lismore

The new theme for my photography posts is Scottish islands, and my first choice is the beautiful island of Lismore.   This view was taken in May last year, looking south-west across the Sound of Mull.

Ooh I look forward to this theme! I’ve always wanted to go to Lismore. I believe the name in Gaelic means something like “Large garden”.

    • Yes, I think you’re right about the name, Christine. You would love Lismore, it’s completely beguiling – I felt as if I could easily live there. 🙂
